In this episode we go over number two of business coach Clay Clark’s 15 steps to becoming a successful and productive person. Business coach Clay Clark and Sharita Bent discuss the importance and the know-how of being able to define what makes you happy. If you find yourself surrounded by people you don’t like or agree with make the change to get away from them. You should learn to put the achievement of your goals above all else. Take the time out of your life needed to think about what happiness means to you. You really can not rely on others to make you happy, or put that responsibility of making others happy on yourself. Take the time to define what you are and are not willing to do so you do not find yourself running around with no real agenda. Learn what types of trade off you are willing to make in your life in order to hit all of the steps you have put in your place leading you your goals. Life is a great gift we have all been given so it is important to realize and recognize all the amazing things and experiences you are having. Do not let yourself be so focused on your goals that you do not enjoy the day to day activities that are getting you there. Step Number that we discuss is defining the things you are willing to say no to. Things like habits, purchases, and people are all things you should specifically include on your list of things to say no to. By learning the skill of saying no you will bring yourself freedom. You will find that you have more time in your day that will allow you to accomplish what you need, and what you are focused on because you no longer have others piling commitments onto you.
