In this episode, business coach Clay Clark sits down with Jack Nadel, who is a business owner of one of the top promotional materials companies in the world, to talk about finding a need and filling it. Self-employed people represent a small percentage of workers in the US. However, that they make up almost 2/3 of the top millionaires in the world. Why is this? It is because those that go into business for themselves have control over their responsibilities and work ethic. The struggle with being a self-employed person is consistently motivating yourself and providing direction and mentorship to yourself. If you do not have the ability to motivate yourself, then you must be complacent with mediocrity. In this episode, Jack Nadel, a veteran who flew in the B-29 bomber over Japan, talked about finding a specific need and filling it. If you can do this, you will always be able to pivot and adapt to the changing market conditions. This is one of the struggles of entrepreneurs and business owners around the world, as industries change, and market trends fluctuate, the different needs within an industry will also change. One of the first things that you must do is identify what your big goals are. Once you have identified your big goals, you must find a need that people are willing to pay to solve. You must address what is the pain that a potential buyer is experiencing, or what is the game that they are looking to achieve.
