During his early years, he experienced different forms of civil rights injustice which caused life to be much more difficult for him and his family. He was also raised in a poor family and grew up in a very small house. Despite all of these and other setbacks, Clifton did not let these things holding back in  He realized that he could control his mindset and overcome the adversities that would hold most people back. Clifton’s ability to overcome these things lead him to be a very successful entrepreneur selling millions of dollars worth of Stairmaster equipment and eventually owning his own bank.
