In this business training episode, Clay Clark (business coach and former US Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year) sit down with Jack Nadel (business owner of one of the most successful promotional products company in the world) to talk about dealing with stress. Jack Nadel was a navigator for one of the B-29 bombers that flew over Japan. Jack was a part of 27 combat missions during his service, after which he went to go found a number of different companies. As an entrepreneur, you will face many different types of stress during your time managing clients and employees. Employees are not going to show up on time, clients are going to become difficult, there are miscommunication that are going to occur, and so much more. Being able to deal with stress is one of the most valuable skills that you can learn as a business owner. By managing your stress levels, you will be able to remain focused for a longer period of time and stay on task to complete what needs to be done. As a bomber in the military, Jack had to manage stress on a regular basis and had to stay focus for 15 hours at the time. One simple lapse in focus would mean the failure of a mission or possible the structuring of the playing that they were flying in.
