Changed Mind, Changed Life – Episode 2 – Part 1


In this video, Jim Cathcart, who was inducted into the Sales and Marketing Hall of Fame in 2012 (London/Paris) and inducted in 2008 as one of the “Legends of the Speaking Profession,” will discuss the importance of having the right mindset to overcome adversities. Jim starts the video off by discussing the mindset of “that’s great for him, but I couldn’t do any of that”. Jim will give personal examples of adversities that he has had to overcome in his life and how he broke the mold.

Jim is a mentor of Thrive15 because of his amazing sales principles that he has perfected over the years, along with numerous other reasons. However, today he will discuss that you have to give before you get and you have to constantly work and give yourself to your work even when you do not see any results. He also mentions that starting is the hardest part. Once you start, you just have to keep going. He mentions that he got involved in leadership meetings and would have 200 meetings a year for two years in a row. He explains that success is unreasonable and it is abnormal to succeed.

Jim Cathcart mentions that you have to define what you want to do and then you have to commit to that and do not stop doing it until you have achieved your goal.
