The Carver Academy is a school that focuses on getting young students in poverty through school. With the proper mindset, he was able to create a school that had a one hundred percent success rate of getting all the students in college. Therefore, when you set your mind to something great, you tend to get great results. You will have moments of doubt and a fear of accomplishing those goals that you may fall behind. When you do fall behind you can use stories like George Washington Carver to help you get through to achieving your goals. David Robinson talks about how he went to visit high poverty high schools in Washington DC. The students there that were selling drugs told David it was easier to sell drugs than to work for an income. They see the people around them selling drugs and driving nice cars. So to them, that journey to success was the only thing they knew to do.
