The Formula for Success: ADAPT or Die – 7. The Formula For Success – Recap – Part 1
If you’ve tuned in to the rest of series with business coach, Clay Clark, then you’ll know just what the acronym, ADAPT, stands for, but a little re-cap never hurt anyone. What exactly does ADAPT mean and how does it tie into the formula for success? A-Accept that the calvary is not coming. This simply means that if your business is struggling and your under duress, no one is going to come forward and say, here let me help you. The success of your business is in your hands. D-Determine who your ideal and likely buyers are who they are. Find these customers and focus on reaching them, people who are actually interested in buying your product, first and foremost before you try to reach everybody else. A-Be action oriented. Be a person of action, not a person of philosophy. Meaning it’s great to sit there and dream and come up with ideas, but if you don’t actually implement those actions, nothing is going to happen. We think Thomas Edison said it best, “Vision without execution is hallucination”. P-Package your products and services in a Tiffany’s box and not a K-Mart bag. You have to dress to impress, dress the way you want to be addressed, speak as though you have the job you want. Ask yourself, how would the person I want to become do this, and then do that. T-Be tenacious. Tenaciously pursue your goals. Figure out your goals, dreams, and ambitions, and what drives you and then pursue them relentlessly and don’t give up until you’ve achieved them.
