The 6 Super Moves Of Personal Branding – Episode 1 – Part 1
Check out episode one of part 1 focusing on developing your personal brand that can set you apart from your competition. Today business coach Clay Clark sits down with Bryan Smith, owner of an award winning, top selling insurance agency and sales expert, to talk about how to brand yourself. In this video Bryan will break down his notable quotable of “Branding is what people think about you before they actually know you.” An important aspect of your personal brand is to make sure every piece from photos, to business cards to the look of your facility are consistent. The great thing about having a tight personal brand is that often times the very first time a person meets you they feel like they already know you. In the business world this can give you an incredible head start over your competition. They are trying to attract people to interact with them and have already won the war of rapport. The only way to achieve this outcome is to ensure that your branding is as consistent and cohesive as possible. Another key point to understand is that the way you look will create perceptions of who you are. you do not have to like but this is the way the world works. So you have to look big before you are big. You have to dress for the job you want not the job you have. Elon Musk says “Brand is just a perception, and perception will match reality over time.” To attract upper level customers and clients you have to let them know that you can deliver to their standards. If you are construction company working out of a 30 year old truck that is missing a door then the chances are not high you will land that next big contract coming to town if that is the first perception the client has of you.
