Failure: What We Can Learn From It – Episode 1 – How to Learn from Failures – Part 2
Have you experience failure in your life? Do you see failure as a setback, or an opportunity to learn? In this episode, business coach Clay Clark (former US Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year) talks with Caleb Taylor about entrepreneurship and what it means to fail. Every time an entrepreneur or business owner experiences failure, you must approach it by asking what you can learn from that experience. If you do not use failure as a learning experience, you will continually be set back in building your business. Make sure that you are driven by a goal big enough to push you through the failure. Often times, entrepreneurs might not have a goal that is ambitious enough to motivate them through a failure that can be discouraging. However, in the previous episode, we talked about redefining failure to be celebrated. If you are struggling with failure, you must ask yourself why are you discouraged. No other business or profession embraces failure is much is entrepreneurship. The reason why is because you must pivot consistently as an entrepreneur in order to grow your business. If you are not failing, you are not moving forward. You will find that your ability to fail more quickly will increase your success rate.
