Entrepreneurship: What It Is And What It Is Not – Episode 2 – What It Is Really Like to Be an Entrepreneur – Part 1
Are you working as hard as you need to be as an offering her? Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur? In this episode, business coach Clay Clark breaks down the common misunderstandings of what it means to be an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship can be characterized as a field where there is no guidance or direction provided to people that have not figured out what they want to do. Thomas Edison, the inventor of the modern lightbulb, said that “Genius is 1% inspiration, and 99% perspiration.” What this means is that if you have an idea, then you must be willing to get out and push to build a business behind it. If you’re unwilling to do the work necessary in order to see that idea to fruition, you should get that idea to somebody else. The idea is not worth anything. The execution is worth the world. The most successful entrepreneurs in the world are those that can see an idea come to reality. They know how to breakdown a big idea into specific action steps that will allow themselves and their company to achieve success. Entrepreneurship is not the mere idea of having idea festivals all day, every day. What it means is that you are your own boss, and you seek to provide a product or service in a profitable manner that will allow you to achieve your goals and dreams. Your business is a vehicle two getting you To where you want to go, your business is not the end all be all.
