Business coach Clay Clark sits down with Dr. Robert Zoellner, successful optometrist and CEO of Thrive15.com, to talk about his supervisors for meetings. One of the first things to understand is that meetings are for decision-making. When you have an agenda for the meeting, you’ll find that you were more effective during that meeting. Specifically your team member that is preparing the agenda for the meeting needs to put the decisions that are to be made during the meeting on the agenda. As a business owner or offer never, when you know what the decisions that need to be made or ahead of time, you can use the meeting time to effectively communicate the decision that you have already made. When you have all the information necessary for this, you do not need to spend a whole lot of time debating the decision that you have already made. For this reason, Dr. Zee frequently will walk out of the meeting after he’s finished communicating whatever it is that he needs to communicate to team. Lee Cockerell does this move as well. Lee managed 40,000 team members at Walt Disney World resort in Orlando. One of the time management tactics that we used was to arrive to his meetings early and start his day hours before his other team members. When he did this he was able to accomplish more than they were and always stay ahead of the decisions that needed to be made. When you’re in a leadership role, typically there is more compensation, but there is also a higher level of expectation and responsibility. Learn how to manage all of this during this business coach training video.
