The Formula for Success: ADAPT or Die – 5. The Tiffany Box Effect – Part 1
If you’re here, you’re most likely looking for the formula for success. We have an acronym for you, ADAPT. What does that mean you might ask? If you haven’t already, we encourage you to tune into the beginning of this video series where the previous were discussed, but in this series, business coach, Clay Clark will be discussing P-Package your product or service in a Tiffany’s box and not a K-Mart bag. You might say, well I don’t have a Tiffany’s box just lying around, but to help you understand this concept a little better we’ll quote our very own Thrive15 mentor, Michael Levine, “If you give someone a present and you give it to them in a Tiffany’s box, it’s likely that they’ll believe the gift has a higher perceived value than if you gave it to them in no box or a box of less prestige. That’s not because the receiver of the gift is a fool, but instead because we live in a culture where we gift wrap everything. Our politicians, our corporate heads, our movie stars, and even our toilet paper”. The image that you give off will affect how you are perceived. You might say, well that’s not fair, but that is the world that we live in. Ultimately, how you brand yourself will affect your business overall. If you want to be a world famous rapper, you’re most likely going to have to sell the image of a world famous rapper. If you want to be perceived as an executive of a large corporation, give off the image that you’re an executive of a large corporation and not a world famous rapper. Tiffany’s box and not a K-Mart bag. To learn more about what it takes to be successful, tune into the rest of the series with business coach, Clay Clark.
