Lets say you work for a small business. If you work hard you tend to succeed. What achievements have you made in your business that you ended up becoming recognized for those power moves? In this series business coach and thrive visioneer Clark Clark is met with Jack Nadel himself. Jack Nadel is a successful entrepreneur who started the business “Jack Nadel International” (one the the largest promotional product companies in America). In this episode Jack Nadel references back to a time when he was asked to work for the U.S. government. President Ronald Reagan needed Jack Nadel to assist with the trade relations they had in Japan. The problem was that the trades were imbalanced. Taking on this project, Jack Nadel was able to find the root problem in the trades. Japan strongly believed in their culture. They require that the countries they do business with respect their ways of life. In Japan you can not go to a company and strike a deal without first creating a relationship with that individual. If you go to buy large quantities of something wouldn’t you like to know who is behind the business? How can you determine they will continue that level of respect for you and your company in the future? In conclusion Jack Nadel was able to bond with the powerful men involved with the trade in Japan. As they grew to know each other more, they were able to settle their differences and get back on track with many trades. As an entrepreneur do not go out in the field and try to force a product in someones face. Get to know that individual and see what interests them. See how they are doing. Once they become more confident in you, they will be more open to close a deal with you.
