David Nilssen is the cofounder and CEO of Guidant Financial, a company based in Bellevue, Washington. Guidant Financial helps entrepreneurs invest their retirement funds into a business or franchise without taking a taxable distribution or incurring penalties. It also aids business owners in securing Small Business Administration loans.
David has successfully launched multiple companies over the last 15 years in the financing, real estate development, landscaping, and property management industries.
David has been a featured speaker at over 350 national and international events, covering topics from entrepreneurship to small business financing. In 2007, the Small Business Administration (SBA) named him the “National Young Entrepreneur of the Year” and the Puget Sound Business Journal named him one of the “Top 40 Businesspeople Under 40.” In both 2008 and 2009, he was a finalist for the coveted “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.”
In 2011, David co-authored a book called, “Making the Jump into Small Business Ownership,” and was honored as one of the Top 100 Small Business Influencers. David is a past president of the Seattle Entrepreneur Organization and a former board advisor for Youth Ventures. He's attended more Seattle Seahawks games than most humans and he is deceptively tall. He's really tall.
